Terms and Conditions
As all our products are made-to-order, please allow 3 to 6 weeks for production. We do, however, occasionally hold stock of various rugs styles and sizes. We will note this availability on the product pages of the in-stock rugs. Otherwise, please contact us to inquire about what we have in stock at the moment.
All of the design and production is done at our studio in London, UK. Our material is fully made in the UK. We value consistency in our product, but because each piece is completely hand crafted, the piece you receive will have its own unique character that may vary slightly from the representative photos.
We accept returns. We can offer a full refund on the cost of a rug (not including shipping) that is unused and in its original condition and canvas packaging. We must be notified within 2 week of receipt of the rug. Refunds will not be given for rugs after a period longer than 2 week. The refund will be processed within 2 weeks after we have received the returned rug.
Shipping is free. We also ship worldwide. As all our products are made to order, please allow 3-6 weeks for production, as well as an additional 5-10 business days for shipping. Shipping is either by UPS, DHL, or Fedex. If you have a preference or a special situation, please notify us before shipping. Any applicable sales tax will be added to the final payment. International orders are accepted, though some countries may charge an additional import or customs fee, which must be paid by the person receiving the package. If you live locally, or are going to be in the area, we can arrange for a local pick-up and waive any shipping and handling fees.

Material and Care
Our products are made from high performance silicone cord. With excellent resistance against weathering such as ozone and ultraviolet, the rugs will not degrade due to sunlight. However, as with any material or product, no matter how high performance, excess exposure to sunlight may affect the colour brightness. Under normal conditions, the quality of the material should maintain its resilience for years.
All rugs can be a trip hazard, so please be careful where you place your rug so that it lies flat. Bear in mind that Shore Rugs™ are a thick, tactile, and highly cushioning type of floor covering. Placing them in high-foot traffic areas may pose a trip hazard. Shore Works Limited can not be held liable for any accidents or injuries, including but not limited to slips and falls, that occur through use of our products.
When you receive your rug, the edges might have become slightly warped during shipping. When you first lay the rug on the ground, take a moment to flatten out the edges and any irregularities, and to evenly redistribute the tension of the cords.
Shore Rugs™ can be easily wiped clean or rinsed with water and cleaning detergents if necessary. They can also simply be hosed off. If a spill occurs on the rug, be sure to clean the rug itself and the surface underneath the rug, as the spill might have penetrated to the floor below. The silicone cord material is very resistant and can not be stained. After washing or after prolonged usage, a light amount of talcum or baby powder can be applied to the rug to renew its supple texture.
Our cord is not affected by sustained submersion in either fresh or salt water. Silicone is not considered to be toxic and is considered to be a very safe with virtually no toxic effects in most environments. Our cord does not contain prohibited or declarable substances as identified under the ROHS Declaration Directive (Restriction of the use of certain hazardous substances). The colourants in the cord will not rub off or transfer onto existing floor coverings or hard floors.
You are responsible for the care of the pieces you purchase and we can not be held liable if damages occur from improper care. Quality is our top priority and if there is a defect other than normal wear and tear we will fix or replace the product as we see fit. Wholesale and Trade
Pieces are available for wholesale purchasing and orders will be considered for select retailers. If you are interested in carrying our products, please send us an email telling us about yourself and your retail space. Commitment will be based upon compatibility, current workload, and timeline. Trade discounts are available for architects and designers, please contact us directly for inquiries. Returns or refunds will not be accepted on wholesale or trade orders.
Custom Work, Collaborations, and Commissions
We love the opportunity for special projects. Please contact us directly to discuss. Projects will be considered based on current workload and compatibility.
We do not store credit card details nor do we share customer details with any 3rd parties. When you purchase from our studio, we request your name, billing and shipping addresses, phone number, and email address. We ask that you provide this information so that we can process and ship your order. We respect your privacy by not selling or sharing this information.
